Torat Dinah: An Anthology of Essays, Poems, and Prayers

Dinah’s Week is an emerging part of the Jewish calendar focused on Parashat Vayishlach, in which the complicated story of Dinah brings to our attention the urgent issues of sexual trauma, harassment, secrecy, and communal silence, issues that are rarely acknowledged in contemporary Jewish communities.
Torat Dinah will bring together essays, prayers, and poems that respond to Dinah’s silenced voice and confront her isolation, captivity, torture, and rape. Dinah’s textual legacy calls upon us to speak for every victim and survivor in our midst. Through this anthology, we seek to raise a clear moral voice against sexual violence and abuse, challenge those who impose silence, and create space for truth, dignity, and healing.
Submissions should be sent to ToratDinah@gmail.com by September 8. Essays should be between 600-800 words. Poems and prayers should not exceed one page. All submissions must be submitted in Word format. Please include the author’s name, title, institutional affiliation, short biography, and any citations if this work has been previously published.
This anthology represents the fourth iteration of The Dinah Coalition and the first time we are curating an entirely English language publication.
